Dennis Ezechiele Trombetta; age 69, March 23, 1949 to April 5, 2018, of Wyandotte. Beloved husband of Laura. Loving father of Nicholas (Christy) and Marcus. Dearest Papa of Isaac, Lucy, Elizabeth and Christopher. Dear brother of the late Frank (Barbara) and Godfather to Dennis Ryan Trombetta. Much loved uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Dennis was born in Wyandotte and grew up roaming 17th street and Goddard picking fruit in the alleys and roasting corn in bonfires by Ecorse Creek. He moved with his family to Riverview where he was a varsity letterman on the football, basketball, and baseball teams at Riverview Community High School. Dennis graduated from RCHS in the class of 1967 and later married the homecoming queen, Laura Higgins. He was a railroader on the DT&I, Grand Trunk, AAR, and finally the CN when he retired after 40 years of service.

In retirement he was an avid vacationer and an active member of Seaway Boat Club where he was elected to serve as Commodore with the class of 2014.

A patron to misfits and children, he frequently supplied his grandkids with pocket knives and candy cigarettes. He was fond of dogs, fishing, cartoons, sports, Fords, cigars, scotch and rebuilding the dock at his cottage on Upper Pettibone lake.
