Condolence & Memory Journal

Deepest condolences to Barb's family. Barb was a dear friend and a kind soul. We shared many life stories and laughs through the years we worked together...the best memories of her and her smiles will forever be missed and cherished!

I was so very sad to hear about Barbara's passing. I know she was struggling for some time with health issues. She is now with her son and they can talk about life again and smile more.
She worked as my secretary for 6 wonderful years. These were some of my best years at Ford Research Lab. She was always a pleasure to work with and she kept me aware of all my short comings. When I needed to listen to people, she let me know. When I needed to spend time on more certain things, she was there. When I misspelled everything in my letters, she made me look good with the right corrections. She planned all the events, coordinated all of the major meetings, and just kept me on the straight and narrow.
She carried on when I retired in 2006 and I am sure she continued to do a wonderful job for the Research Laboratory.
I am so very sorry that I am not available to attend her service, due to my wife having a stroke in July and Surgery on Wednesday, Nov 14. But I will be thinking about her and remembering all the wonderful years that we worked together. She was a wonderful person and the best secretary that I ever had at Ford Motor Company. Please give my sympathies to family. She will be missed.
John Markee, Retired Manager, Research Planning and Information Systems, Ford Research Laboratory.

Barbie, my life was so touched by you, while younger, I learned how to live and love better from your example. You and your family opened your home to me on several occasions. My heart is broken, truly broken. I am grateful to God that you were sent to us at Ford and I realized what a truly amazing person you were and kept you close to me even after I moved away to KY. Prayers go out to your loved ones. You wil be in my heart always, and in God's arms now. Love you Barbie,
