Tribute & Message From The Family

Message From The Family

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Freman by adding your memories and photos.

Born in Monroe, Junior was the son of Freman E. and Jesse (Goos) Neal. He married the love of his life, Dixie Lusk, on February 14, 1953. A dedicated husband and family man, Junior worked for over 45 ½ years in the paper industry, retiring from the Jefferson Smurfet Company. He was a faithful member of Frenchtown Missionary Baptist Church, and he enjoyed: gardening, woodworking and welding.
Junior leaves to cherish his memory, Dixie, his wife of the past 65 years; children: Freman (Rene) Neal of Monroe, Julie (John) Majerski of Monroe and Paul (Cheryl) Neal of Erie; his grandchildren: Amy (Joe) Karwick, Lyn "Punk" (Mike) Herrmann, Brittani Neal and Alicia Neal; great grandchildren: Breanna, Katelyn, Ashley, Rachel, Nathan, Lacy and one on the way; his siblings: Bobby Neal of LaSalle, Billy (Shelby) Neal of LaSalle, Joann Kiser of Knoxville, Tennessee and James (Susan) Neal of LasVegas, Nevada; as well as a special niece and caretaker of Freman and Dixie, Kay LaForest. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents.
